Home・Town Photo & Art Exhibition in Shanghai

This past June, Shanghai City’s Let’s Meet campaign made its debut at another stop this time in London, England with the "Home・Town” video and photo exhibition at the Alfred Dunhill Mayfair ‘Home’, Bourdon House. The works promoted there are now being showcased in Shanghai this month at the prestigious Bund 18 venue to further highlight the sisterhood between the two cities of London and Shanghai. An opening ceremony was held on October 21st with special guests and artists from the exhibition.

Z ZEGNA Partners with Jiang Jinfu for 2016 FW “Be Your Own Style” Exhibition and Campaign

Z ZEGNA partnered with China icon Jiang Jinfu in their latest 2016 Fall / Winter “Be Your Own Style” campaign. On November 1st, Jiang Jinfu attended the “Be Your Own Style” exhibition at iamp Shanghai, which featured a series of multimedia creative and interactive content highlighting some of Z ZEGNA’s key characteristics of delicateness and trendiness by means of unique tech.

China's Golden Week 2016: Country Spends $180 Billion During National Holiday

Golden Week, a national holiday that allows those in China to take off seven consecutive days from work or school to spend time with family and to travel, has resulted in sales that totaled in the hundreds of billions. According to WWD, Chinese consumers spent a whopping $180 billion dollars during this year’s Golden Week. The figures represent a 10.7% increase from last year according to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. An estimated 6 million Chinese tourists traveled overseas during these 7 days.

The Chinese Consumer is Driving Global Innovation

“Will China become an innovative economy and what will it mean to the world?” has been one of the hottest topics among global conferences and industry seminars this year amongst industry luminaries, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists looking to expand or adjust their exposure to China. One of the observations that emerged was that Chinese consumers have become a driving force for global innovation. In 2015, China’s industrial sector barely grew, but its service sector saw higher than usual growth at 12%. Latest data indicate that consumption accounted for more than 60% of China’s GDP.

China Overtakes U.S. in Apple iOS App Store Spending

The U.S. market had led in Apple app store spending since 2010. However, according to a new report out recently from app intelligence firm App Annie, China now has overtaken U.S. to become the biggest market on the globe for Apple’s iOS app store in spending and revenue. The latest data shows that Chinese consumers spent $1.7 billion on mobile apps via Apple devices in the 3rd quarter this year, which is about 15% higher than the $1.45 billion spent by Asmericans during the same period.

We had our annual Halloween party this year and RTG offices got scarier than ever. This year’s RTG Horror Story included a spooky buffet, eerie face painting , and creepy cartoon caricature drawing. Participants in our annual Pumpkin Carving Contest and RTG’s Best Halloween Costume made the celebration even more spook-tacular! We frightfully wonder what’s in store for us next year…
